Welcome to RescueMyClassicMac.com Do you need old System software disks to boot your Mac of the past? If you answered “yes”, then you have come to the right place! I offer vintage Macintosh Operating Systems on 400K and 800K floppy disks for your classic Mac. Maybe you found a classic Mac curb-side. Maybe you scored a classic Mac on eBay and it never came with a boot disk? Maybe it’s just that your disks are too old to be read? Whatever the case, most people who come into possession of a classic Mac want to see it live again. Can you blame them? However, most people are unable to bridge the gap between their classic Mac and their modern computer. Classic Mac Operating Systems such as System 6 and 7 are obsolete but have been made available for free via a download from Apple. The problem is, classic Macs like the Macintosh Plus and Macintosh SE have an 800K floppy drive. You can not read a modern 1.44 Meg floppy disk on a classic Mac, and a modern computer can not read or write to an old 800K floppy disk. You’ll find that downloading those old images and getting them onto vintage 800K disks is no easy task! I will gladly make a disk for you. I hope I can help make your classic Mac boot again! System 6.0.8 will run on a Mac 512Ke as long as it has had a ROM upgrade. A Mac Plus requires an external hard drive for a multi-disk System 7 install.
I test every disk before I send them out. I like to test them on the model you’re using. When you check out, please indicate in the “Instructions to Seller” what machine you’re using.
